Railway Bridge/ Watery Wednesday

Railway tracks over a bridge beside a river

Even the cattails are turning yellow. And after our recent winds and rains, the trees are bare.

I saw that railway bridge, and instantly recognized it! Not that I have evr seen this one before, but the pattern is so familiar!

Great shot, EG. It is true once the wind and rains come and the freezes---nothing is left. Bare branches are rather pretty though--maybe? MB

No, they're not bare, there's still lots of fall colors - Very pretty there by the river

It's funny, we have a railroad similar to that one here - it always has water beside it, even though it's just a ditch.

The color is exquisite! The bare trees add all the more contrast...the water is gorgeous and then the railroad bridge...awesome! Love it!

MB,

I think bare branches are often graceful, elegant and beautiful so, although I like leaves, I don't see their falling a tragedy. ;-)

A beautiful last look at the colour change. Blends in well with the water theme. Nice going!

The cattails really get pretty, I think. I was trying to capture the way they look in evening light and never did quite catch the feel of it.
