Red Dragonfly/ Macro Monday

Acrobat or ballerina?

Neither, actually. It's a male white-faced meadowhawk.

In my book it's definitely an acrobatic ballerina! Beautiful creature and a nice photo too boot!

Trying to get my tongue round Gwillim . Not easy. The -G- is probably silent.
That pillarbox red is striking. Never seen one. Patience required for a live shot like that. Thanks for visiting the grouch page.

Very nice. I like it. I wish I could get more dragonflies and damsel flies here. Your photograph is admired by me and your skills in getting these photographed.

This is a beautiful macro. I would say the dragonfly is an acrobat.

Nice shot- I posted a photo of a similar meadowhawk last week. Not white-faced though.

Someday when I grow up, I'm going to take dragonfly photos like yours!

I think a little of both. What a fiery little guy. You've captured such great detail here.

Great macro of the dragonfly, he is a very handsome fellow. Knowing how difficult it I be to catch them in a pose makes me appreciate it that much more.

That's a great photo!! I think both ballerina and acrobat. That's such a perfect shot of him just hanging on.
