Icicles/Top Shot

Icicles on spruce tree at sunset

The day after a major snowstorm last week, the spruces in our yard were covered in icicles that glistened in the sun. As the sun went down, it cast a pinkish light on the snow and icicles.

Melting snow

Many icicles

Like your icicle shots. The first one, I imagined it b a horse, at least from the thumbnail image showing on my blog.

I know it's hard to live in such a cold climate, but it certainly makes for some pretty shots. Love the last one of the huge, snow-laden tree.

The quality of the light is wonderful - you did catch that pinkish hue (not to mention I think I've gotten frostbite just looking at them). Great shots!
