Mink/Top Shot

Mink prowling along the edge of some ice on Lake Simcoe

Last Wednesday, I spied this mink and...

UH-OH!

unfortunately, it saw me too. But at least it let me make a couple of shots before it scampered away.

I am linking to Madge's Weekly Top Shot.

You live in Natures wonderland! I think the fur looks much better on this little guy than on a human.

I've never seen a mink up close.
When I heard about the terrible fire in E Gwillimbury I thought of you, and how small the world becomes through blogging.

Oooo! So lucky he has that cosy fur coat to keep him warm, surely they're not hunted for their skins anymore are they EG?

I think these little critters are adorable BUT one entered my parent's garage during the winter. I don't know if they caught it but it was definitely a surprise to find around their place!:) I guess they can be quite aggressive!
