Immature Wood Duck'Birding

Young Wood Duck

A few local wood ducks are  maturing, beginning to look more like adults.  Isn't this a handsome duck? To see what a a family of babies looked like two weeks ago, click HERE. Whether this duck is from that family or not, I have no idea, although they are all in the same pond.

I am linking with I'd Rather B Birdin'  HERE.

Wow!
I'm like a duck (at times) immature.

Now we do have wood ducks down here. Lots of them. I think they come to Florida to mature and then go back to Canada to make more little immature ones! :)

When I read your title I was going to suggest you take a more mature attitude to Wood Duck viewing, but now I get it.
