My kids still talk about fishing trips even though they don't fish now.

Paulie said...

That may be the case BUT I think they start em young so they can go fishing and have an excuse! Ü

I'm so pleased to see kids with their parents enjoying outdoor activities like fishing. I know of a 3 yo who can't wait to go to the lake to fish - all his life his father takes him fishing that's why.

Hope your week is rolling by beautifully.

Nice photo. I don't think there is anything as sweet as seeing a father and son doing this unless it's maybe going to a baseball game together.

Truer words were never spoken...our oldest daughter could cast by the time she was three years old. Even though she don't get the time to do it, she still loves to fish.

What a wonderful shot. Brings back memories of my dad taking us fishing when we were little.

That's exactly what my little 3 year old grandson did with his daddy this past weekend...and, they were approached by a bear, too! The bear swiped one paw into the very water they were fishing and caught a fish...my little grandson was angry at the bear for catching HIS fish! Then the bear proceeded to break into their ice chest and help himself! He bit a hole in the ice chest to open it. Meanwhile my daughter's family gingerly made their way back to the car. Thankfully the bear wasn't aggressive toward them...just the fish and the ice-chest. Such precious moments!

Very cute, it is important to start them young. My grandkids are 3 and 6 and they have caught several fish in their young lives.

When the kid starts his blog, he will remember," Once my dad took me fishing, it was the best time of my life." or even he has to write a recount in his class.

What a powerful photo.
