Orange/Friday Fences

At the side of a house on ariver

Not just anyone could paint a fence orange and make it look so good.  I think it works well here where there are several other artsy properties.

I am linking to Friday Fences here.

  7. Orange is a bold choice -- but it does work well here.

  8. A little too bright for me, but it does look good against the greenery.

  10. It certainly does brighten up the landscape. I'd probably have painted it white, but bland does what bland is. Or something like that!

  11. Oh no, my first thought was it was some portable construction barriers that I see used around here. Afraid orange wouldn't be my choice for a fence. Nice photo though.

  12. it is ok, but orange is not a favorite color for me and i would not want it in my yard. a drive by look would be great but not a daily dose... this reminds me of all the colorful houses in our village of the arts.

  14. except for the fact that it reminds me of the orange plastic construction fencing i had to erect around our pond's edge to keep the horses back because of the drought, i'd say it looks pretty good!

  15. Much much nicer than the purple and yellow that my grandmother's neighbours used to have!

  29. Great find! Orange would be the last color I'd think of for a fence, but I'd enjoy it in someone else's yard.

  31. Orange is a good color. I once saw a park with orange colored benches, it really enhances the mood.

  32. While I do love the color of pumpkins I must admit that I think a little orange goes a long ways. However, I kind of like the way this fence looks. It's so bold and as you said, artsy.

  33. I like it and looks great against the green background with the tree.
I like it, the owners of the fence probably are happy and fun people.

  34. Really admire bold color choices in exterior house/fence colors. Last year I was very pleased that this true orange was Color of the Year. And yet I don't have a single piece of clothing in this color.

Maybe the owners decided to make this color choice because others in the community were doing the same?
