Ex-S,My secret? Poppi plant themselves. Really. If you have seeds, plant them now where you want them to come up next year. They'll sprout next spring when the conditions are right.OR plant them in April. In the spring they seem to like the constantly wet soil.

The poppies out this way have hanging on longer and just beautiful, too. MBPS. thanks, I like my old avatar best too.
