Walking in the forest is a favourite pastime of mine. This is some of what I saw yesterday afternoon. ;-)
Clockwise from the left-hand bottom corner: the sandy path going in (notice the trees are still very green - we've had a LOT of rain this year), red jack-in-the-pulpit berries, yellow-orange jewelweed (good for treating poison ivy, I've heard), goldenrod (just one stem), blue cohosh berries and toadstools. I saw a toad too, but he was camera shy and hopped away!
Thanks for sharing a walk in the Forest. I love going for walks in the woods, and if there is water it's that much better. :D
ReplyDeleteThat is a sweet looking walking companion. :D
And no mosquitoes?
ReplyDeleteOK, I'll join you... I just hate those darned mozzies.
Lovely season isn't it?
Walking in the woods has to be my favorite. There is something new to discover in every step. We've had plenty of rain here, and our trails are beginning to look like the jungle with all the overhanging foilage. The mosquitoes are BAD!
ReplyDeleteYou always have the best photo series! I love the blue berry one espescially.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great place to walk!
ReplyDeleteYou certainly found some wonderful treasures. That blue berry is something I've never seen.
After being housebound yesterday due to the foul weather your walk was a delight.
ReplyDeleteWhose the doggy?
Looks like a great place to walk!I love going for walks in the woods
ReplyDeletethanks.
Oh, it looks like such a lovely place for a walk! We have had a very dry August, and so have many more dry leaves littering the ground. We're supposed to get 3-7 inches of rain today, though, so tomorrow may look quite different!
ReplyDeleteI love a walk in the forest.
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous of your collages--because they are so BEAUTIFUL Thanks. MB
Oh it looks so lovely! I'd love to take a stroll!
ReplyDeleteLoved the cohosh blueberries (not sure what cohosh is, but it looks delicious). A walk in the woods sounds great.
