Clematis/ Today's Flowers

This clematis grows on an east-facing wall at the back of my house in a place that few people get to see it. But now all that's changed since you're all taking a good look at it. This is how it looked just after a rain shower a couple of weeks ago.

And here's what the blossom looked like with others on the vine.

  5. Oh goodness, our clematis finished blooming and is on its way to dying back already. It is a dark purple one, I can never remember the name.

  9. I love this shade! I had some growing on my mailbox back in Ga but they were a darker shade of purple. Love this color against the white...just lovely!

    As for your question about my photo, unfortunately we have allowed that door bells took their place instead of those artistic knocker.
    We don´t see that much of tyhem nowadays, so that's why it really caught my eye speciallY because they were rebuilding the whole house!

  20. Oh, I love clematis. My neighbor used to have one growing on a lamppost (we both moved away from that block). I love how the drops of water are hanging from the flower.

  24. That is a gorgeous flower! Such a delicate color. We have clematis also, but a much darker color. I have posted pictures here.
