Donkeys/ Camera Critters

It was a misty evening not long before sunset, when my husband happened upon this field with three donkeys.

The white donkey was totally unimpressed with me, too busy eating hay. The black donkey turned it's back on me. But the tan donkey thought I was fascinating. Its eyes followed me wherever I went.

With Halloween only a few days away, it feels appropriate to post these headless pumpkin dogs. The one on the left seems ready to play, don't you think?

  1. I have never seen a purplish cast on a photo before. It reminds me of color film when it first came out and appeared in Japan. Kodak film gave a blueish cast to photo prints while Fuji gave a greenish cast to photo prints. I don't have a clue who made purplish. It gives an ethereal quality to the picture.

Today (October 25th) in my birthday. I am 74 years old.

  3. Donkeys are my favorite barnyard animal. I have had 3 in the past, and they are just so sweet and smart.
I'm wondering if these pumpkin dogs did have heads, or will they be getting any ?
    Have a great week-end.

  12. Love the pumpkin dogs.

Donkeys are so funny to watch. We had several in the field next to our house but every time I tried to get a pic they were completely uninterested and showed me their backside instead of posing nicely.

  15. Hoho, my first time to see pumpkin sculpture! The donkeys are wonderful. My favorite animal.
And you found a white one! Jewish tradition has it that the messiah will enter the gate of Jerusalem on a white donkey.
