Lately I'm fascinated by shadows. If only the sun would indulge me more! At last -- as you can see -- it broke through the clouds long enough for me to snap this photo.

Great shot! I love the way you've composed this one.
ReplyDeleteI love this shot. The shadow shows off the iron work so well.
ReplyDeleteIt's great you caught this shadow! My Monochrome shot is up on Wednesdays... :)
ReplyDeleteI'm fascinated by this shadow at least! You could have even left out the bench itself and it would be compelling. But I'm glad you didn't. I love the texture it adds to the shot.
ReplyDeletethat's a good shot w/ the shadow on the wall. great in b&w
ReplyDeleteCool shot! I like the simplicity of the shot, and the complexity of the shadow.
ReplyDeleteOh, I like this. I must check out shadows more, BUT you do need some sun..
ReplyDeleteB.
Ha! sometimes we beg for sun jst to chase a perfect shadow, huh? But to no avail but suddenly when your not intended to have one, then a perfect shadow come along your way.
ReplyDeleteJust HURRY & cam must be handy.
Love the B&W...
TY for dropping by...
The shadow looks better that the original bench - good idea for a shot.
ReplyDeleteAmazing photograph, has depth and a lot of nuances of grey!
ReplyDeleteMarvellous post!
I love shadows too, but I don't see them often enough! I really like the shadow her contrasting on the white wall. Great shot.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful shot. I love the intricacy of the end of the bench in the shadow. The end probably wouldn't even be noticed if it wasn't for the shadow.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful curves of the iron the shadows captured!
ReplyDeleteFabulous capture really sharp shadows and lovely framing.
ReplyDeleteInteresting pattern...I can almost see a quilt out of that.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it...quite an AWESOME shadow!

Oooh, I really like this. Love the shapes and shadows. Good one.
ReplyDelete:-)
No problem with the effect here - I must notice that combination.
ReplyDeleteThe shadow effect is very nice. I like this picture!
ReplyDeleteI like the shadow effect too on the artistic metal of the bench. It kinda of brings the mind into the gap looking between the shadow and the light.
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is YAY!! the sun is shining. Neat shot too. MB
ReplyDeleteShadows seem hard to come by lately with the cloudy and stormy weather we've been having. Always found benches to be a good focal point.
ReplyDeleteI love the star in the shadow!
