I guess I would have to pass that ... the only skaters I got into my foot where roller ones and both times I landed flat on the ground! But it's a very nice shot.
Oh, how I remember those days. One year I broke my collar bone ice skating on my birthday, and the very next year on my birthday I fell and broke my wrist while skating! I did get better at staying upright. B.
Very colorful photo of a neat outdoor sport! I went ice skating when I was in my early 30's for the first time -- it wasn't bad! I jsut never had another opportunity to do it with friends so I don't go to the indoor rinks we have now.
From a nandina bush next to my house - they are red all winter with red berries. Although its been in the 50's, 60's and 70's consistently all winter. The rest from a hike along the Oklahoma river yesterday.
Wonderful to see all those happy people skating or just walking on the ice. Everybody here was happy as long as there was ice, but now it's melting again.
Now that's what I'm talkin' about! Growing up in the sunny South where the only rinks are indoors the closest I came to this was street hockey on rollerblades -- and that wasn't until my 30's. So I concur wholeheartedly... you can't start 'em too young!
It sure looks cold while those kids are playing. They look like they are having fun though. Thanks for sharing you pictures. Hope you have a great day.
Thanks for visiting my little corner of the world. I hope you enjoyed your stay here. Please leave a comment before you leave so I can visit your blog.
They seem to have got the hang of it. I never did :-(

ReplyDeleteI use to skate when I was a kid, but as I grew older I became increasingly more subject to gravity! :)

Ice Skating! Very cool! I'm still waiting for some snow around here!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice world ! I post tomorrow tuesday.
ReplyDeleteThey're not that bad at skating! The ones I love are the tiny ones pushing a chair around on the ice (to hold them upright).
ReplyDeleteno question, in ontario we have more than our fair share of nice barns, dead barns, and skating!!! and no, i did not know where east gwillimbury was!
ReplyDeleteWonderful, we don't have any skating rinks anymore. I loved them growing up.
ReplyDeleteI used to skate every Saturday night when I was a kid. It was so fun.

I like the sharpness of the photo. It's a very happy image too, must be because of the colors.

Looks like a lot of fun. Nice crisp photo, too.
ReplyDeleteEG: Excellent photo of the skaters. Canada and skating do coincide.

ReplyDeleteI love ice skating and haven't been in far too long! Great photo!
ReplyDeleteLooks like cold fun. I'd need double runners. Always prefered roller skating in warm weather, or in the basement.
