The word that comes to mind is "quiet". I guess it's the nature of snow to absorb sound or something, but it always seem to be almost deathly quiet after a snowstorm. And if a photo can capture that, this one would be the one.

Shadows on snow make a perfect monochrome. I really like the delicacy of those seedheads.

Onteresting play on those shadows! I almost didn't notice the single flowers/weeds shadows until I took another look. Came out perfect!
