Forest Walks/ My World
This photo was taken last week. Here the path is wide and gets plenty of sunshine, so last week it was clear of snow. But further into the trees where there's less sunlight the path was still covered with slippery ice. The forest hadn't wakened to spring yet.
Soon, though, spring flowers will decorate the area underneath the deciduous trees. I can hardly wait! And, YES, I will be taking photos.
Please note: Macro Monday is HERE.

What a wonderful way to spend the day!
ReplyDeleteLooks wonderful. Our Golden would love to walk a few miles (as would we) on that trail!
ReplyDeleteWe have forest trails to walk through here too but most of our trails are wide paved areas which is a real blessing to those in wheelchairs or scooters or even us older folks who walk and need a steady step.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to more photos of your forrest.
So very inviting hiking path and landscape!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your enjoyable, serene post!
Our golden Kiki would love to join you too :)
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a wonderful place to walk. Not much longer until spring will be arriving full force, I guess.
ReplyDeleteOh I can't wait for your spring wildflowers to blanket the ground. That's more like my type of walking path.
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was that there is no snow. Looks like the perfect place for a walk.
ReplyDeleteThere are few things as simple and yet so enjoyable as just taking a walk in nature! Personally, I love having a dog by my side, but if not, then I'll just enjoy listening to the sound of the birds. That's spring to me (in Sweden): hearing the birds again after a winter of silence.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a pleasant walk, even if the weather isn't quite spring-like yet.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing those spring flowers. Still looks cold right now.
ReplyDeleteBet the dawg is enjoying that walk as much as the humans are!

Wow, and I thought when the sun is up the snow goes away...great back shot :D I would enjoy walking there too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot. It is amazing how even the pine trees look so much more colorful when spring comes.
ReplyDeleteWe met our first critter on our walk through the woods last week, a garter snake (scared the he... out of me!)and there is only little bits of snow now. With the rain of the last two days and no frost it will probably be gone by now. Nice photo and thanks for sharing.

What happened to all your snow?? Oh yeah I think we are the only place in Canada that is still covered in it....lol. Great photo as always.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!

ReplyDeleteLooks like a great spot to walk and I look forward to seeing the spring flowers. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWe all seem to be virtually walking this week. I will leave you to your lovely ramble, with camera of course.
ReplyDeleteThe hint of spring in the sunshine and thawed places and the remnants of winter in others must make that a beautiful and memorable walk.
ReplyDeleteEG: Spring is fighting to stay but we had snow today. I await the greening of the trees.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a wonderful forest walk.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice area to walk in. I know we have some nice ones too but getting there is NOT half the fun. MB
ReplyDeleteI can hardly wait too. The snow we had last night will be gone tomorrow, and then one day closer to the real Spring.
ReplyDeleteB.
Looking forward to seeing flowers springing up everywhere!
ReplyDeleteI'll bet that will look like a completely different place when things start popping up all over.
ReplyDeleteGreat place for a walk. Excellent photo.
ReplyDeleteI can just see my Jake galloping back and forth on that path! I know what you mean about ice under the trees, though. That is what we have here. But soon there will be spring flowers!!
ReplyDeleteBTW---maybe it is April Fools Day in that spammers part of the world. I didn't fall for it but deleted it. heehee. MB
ReplyDeleteI'd love to walk here.
ReplyDeletePaz
That sure is an inviting view!
ReplyDeleteI love walks through York Regional forest... so nice to see that the snow is melting.
ReplyDeleteBut I still have some hard icy patches in my back yard. The weather can't quite decide what to do about them!
Frost on the roof this morning for sure.
The sun's out and they're all bundled up - still very cold, huh!
ReplyDeleteI bet with wild flowers along the path it would be beautiful.
Looking forward to seeing your pics of them.
what a lovely path to walk along into the forest...thanks for sharing. have a good afternoon.
ReplyDeleteFantastic walking place! I really enjoyed the size and it made it seem I was right behind you...on my horse, of course!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a great place to escape the bustle of daily life.
