Yellow/ Photo Hunter

Private airplane at small airport in Baldwin, Ontario

This week's Photo Hunter challenge is: YELLOW

No, we don't still have all this snow. I took this photo on a very cold day a few weeks ago at a grass-strip airport just north of East Gwillimbury.

  1. I'll have to show this to our pilot friends. Definately a great photo for the yellow theme.

  2. Great 'yellow' picture. My brother (who died in 1985) used to own a yellow Piper Cub---and loved flying it all around his area in Florida. I got to take a ride with him once. NEAT!!!

  4. Oh, I love this plane. I have jury duty (the whole month of April), and the court is next to a small airport. I'm hoping for some airplane photos, both on the ground and in the air. Keep your fingers crossed.

  6. Wow Neat picture. I love small planes but have never gone up in one. I like to go to the local small airport and watch them too.
    Spectacular yellow. MB

Seattle and neighboring Tacome Wa are major seaports. Gateway to the Pacific is their motto. and elsewhere I imagine.

  9. Thast is a fun photo, soon it will be warm enough to be flying but can't imagine wanting to be up there in the wind just yet.

  11. Why is there a patch of grass under the plane? Was the plane parked over night when there was a dusting of snow?

    Are the snow melting?

  30. Guess he was grounded that day huh? The air density would have been perfect for a small plane like that, but landing in that snow would've been tricky!

    Great shot!

  38. Sometimes I can't believe the things you find to take pictures of. The yellow plane is very eye catching. I saw a yellow helicopter a few months ago but didn't have my camera.
