LOVE this sky! Ours was like this before in the afternoon yesterday. (I was locked in a meeting at sunset, so I've no idea how it turned out.) HOWEVER, near me there is nothing so picturesque beneath the sky!
( Our snow is covering still everything, it has started a little to become more wet, but nowhere is still a ground to see :) It is very usual yet in this time of year on our latitudes )
What an idyllic scene. Trust you to come up with the most enchanting photo each time. The contrast between the greyness of the landscape and the tired horse and the red sky is amazing and yet there are no stark contrasts. How do you do it?
Wow, an exceptional shot. I absolutely love this. I'll have to see if I can capture a lovely sunrise or sunset with our horses silhouetted... someday!!
Thanks for visiting my little corner of the world. I hope you enjoyed your stay here. Please leave a comment before you leave so I can visit your blog.
What a great catch! I almost didn't notice the horse -- the sunset was so beautiful@
ReplyDeleteSo neat. What a great horse. He is conserving his strength until he has to work!!! LOL Very bucolic. I love it. MB
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Sometimes I can't tell if the sun is rising or setting until I read the captions. Is there a way to determine which is which from a photo?
ReplyDeleteDarla
reminds me of home (when I was a kid) great shot
ReplyDeleteAw, this is just too cute and too serene! I'm sure that horse has dozed off for the night - things look so peaceful I'm sure I would too!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture, EG... Love that sky--with the sun going down. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
That place looks like peace, like if I looked in the dictionary under peace, this would be the picture. Awesome... serenity.
ReplyDeleteHe looks like he is asleep to me. I was always amazed that all animals can get any rest at all while standing up on their feet but they do.
ReplyDeleteTo me, the horse and the stable make the picture - a magnificent atmosphere when the setting sun is added.
ReplyDeletePS Doesn't horses sleep standing?
Wonderful sleepy horse at sunset! A quiet, peaceful image. Makes one feel all is well with the world.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he's just contemplating the beauty of that sunset. What a gorgeous photo.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. Simple and perfect. Love it!
ReplyDeletelovely photo........I wonder do horses sleep standing up or laying down?
ReplyDeleteGill
Beautiful, and there's something almost horse-y about the cloud, not sure what - a bit of mane, a flying tail?
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot; that is a very impressive heavy horse.
ReplyDeleteNow that is a peaceful photo, I absolutely love it.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
