Pussy Willow/ Macro Monday

Pussy willows still on the shrub

Local pussy willows are big and fluffy now. They thrive in areas still wet with spring run-off but I couldn't resist getting my feet wet to take a photo.

  19. I know a little pussy
    his coat is silver gray
he lives down by the river
    not very far away
    although he is a pussy
    he'll never be a cat
    for he's a pussy willow
now what do you think of that?
    meow, meow, meow--SCAT!

I used to sing this to my kids every time we saw a pussy willow, great picture

  21. In Singapore and malaysia, they import Puss willow for Chinese New Year Decoration. It is usually in January and February. I didn't know they bloom so early.

As for Jean Batten, it was amazing for a woman at her time. I have never flown even as a passenger in a small plane. The smallest plane I flew was Fokker Friendship in Borneo. When I went to canada, I flew in a 747. Thanks for visiting my site.

    Cheers,

    Ann
