Looking down from a ridge over a woods and farmer's field beyond As the sun prepares to set, it's shining into and reflecting out of a huge puddle in a farm field.
We've had tons of rain this spring. You might be thinking this would make the local mosquitoes happy but it has also been unseasonably cool, which mosquitoes hate. I've put my mittens away for the season, though!

Nothing worse than mosquitos to ruin any outdoor activity. Hate 'em!
ReplyDeleteI agree with B Squared and also hate them! LOL ops
ReplyDeleteHey you did another wonderful capture!
Enjoy your spring dear friend! Here is getting really cold in our Autumn in Brazil.
But I like it too! Nothing to complain!
Léia
Another beautiful shot. I'm glad you decided to put away the mittens. Ya gotta have a positive attitude---just don't freeze. MB
ReplyDeleteOh, that is a wonderful view!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, well framed or cropped. Glad it is warm enough for you to go mitten-less.
ReplyDeleteDarla
Aaaah the light of the golden hour! There is nothing like it to make a stunning picture! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad there are no mosquitoes (they loooove me) to enjoy that fantastic view!
ReplyDeleteAh. That looks the perfect end to the perfect day!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the mosquitos are unhappy! The more unhappy mosquitos, the better! :-D
That's such a beautiful sunset from the ridge. We have had a cooler spring for us although it's hot as all get out now. I have noticed that although quite wet we haven't been hit by early mosquitoes like we are when it was warmer earlier.
ReplyDeleteThat's great skyshot!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations.
I wish mine was as good as this.
That puddle did the trick. And the rain made the puddle :-)
ReplyDeleteWow, that is a beautiful sunset! That also looks like a very cool place to explore.
ReplyDeletewhat a gorgeous sight. we have a ton of clouds and fog, very little rain :(
ReplyDeleteThe weather here has been too dry to make mosquitoes but one good rain and we'll be hiding indoors again. =)
ReplyDeleteNice photo!
Wonderful sky...glad you were able to put your mittens away!
ReplyDeleteWOW!
ReplyDeleteYou images are always wonderful but this one is AWESOME!
Rain here all week and today it's only 55 degrees.
My post is here: Carletta’s Captures.
Beautiful! I love sunsets and clouds.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo.
ReplyDeleteHappy SWF
I wish we'd get some good rain. It's been overcast, cloudy and thunder-stormy... and very little rain. What a waste of good clouds. :-)
ReplyDeleteYour shot is beautiful! :-)

ReplyDeletehave a lovely weekend.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I love the turmoil on the horizon. Great colors, brilliant, really. Glad your mosquitoes are deterred by the cold... me too. tee hee.
ReplyDeleteFantastic shot! The colors are magnificent! I couldn't sign in today, but I do have some pretty skies posted, if you get a chance to stop by.

ReplyDeleteIt's not just the reflection in the field that make this a great picture, the effect on/in the clouds is magnificent too.
ReplyDeleteWe have tons of rain this week and no stop in sight:(
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful photograph, love that reflection in the farmers field
ReplyDeleteBeautiful golden view.
ReplyDeleteNow and Then
That's beautiful - the light and colors are extraordinary.
ReplyDeleteLovely capture of the glow on the pond.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful molten sky and water!

ReplyDeleteHugs,

Mosquitoes are never welcomed!
ReplyDeleteAs usual you've captured an extremely beautiful sky shot :)
Happy weekend!
That's really nice, I love the whole mood and atmosphere.
ReplyDeleteSuperb! Again! If you have no mosquitos you are very lucky...don't come to Florida-we are overrun because of all our rain. Ugh!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful sky and reflection. Be thankful there's no mosquitos.
ReplyDeleteSo much happening in this amazing sky!
ReplyDeleteHurrah the mosquitoes hate the cool weather! Now it's about those nasty blackflies that have been pesky!
Always LoVe your photos!
Fantastic view!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous sunset!
ReplyDeleteGlorious!
ReplyDeleteWe've had more than our share of mosquitoes this year too.
Any concerns about this issue, EG?
ReplyDeleteProvince lets Barrie annex swathes of farmland, critics fear moves will kill plans to contain sprawl
Quite a story, annexing a place. Makes me think of Harris days when he amalgamated everything, and messed up many small cities (i.e., Ottawa & Nepean). Nepean went from a terrific city, no debt, to debt...one fell swoop.
that is amazingly beautiful
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful with that amazing reflection
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot as always!
ReplyDeleteWhat a splendid light! Great picture!
ReplyDeleteWhat a breathtaking view! The sky here looks absolutely magnificent - well done :)
ReplyDeleteMagnificent photo ... lovely reflected light at the end of the day.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Wow!!! I love the way the reflection from the puddle balances the brilliance of the sun!! And the sun catching the leaves of that tree on the left!!! I love it!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot !!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful composition and colours. I love the puddle reflection of the setting sun.
Not many mosquitos round these arts, thanks to the county's vigorous mosquite abatement program..
