  4. Just went and picked up some newly baled hay yesterday. Not the rolls though. Haying is going on here too although the farmer I got the hay from said it was second cutting. wild huh! MB

  7. Love it! Around here the farmers cover many of the hay rolls with this strong white plastic material so they look like giant marshmellows. They leave those in the fields till they need to bring them in for the cows as winter progresses. RYC: it was disappointing not to get the full 'fest' but we've gone the last two years so have had the experience. So beautiful it's always nice to get to view again though.

    It's the same here for rain. I just hope it doesn't turn wet and rainy here before the farmers can do a second cutting.

  9. I'm sneezing. I'm always facinated by the rolls of hay. In my part of the world, the hay is in bales, like a box, not round.

  11. I wonder if it will be a good hay season. Here it has been a bad berry and fruit crop due to the cold and rain....Michelle
