Oriental Poppy/ Today's Flowers

Orange oriental poppy (Papaver Oriental) in my gardens

Actually, this photo was taken a couple of weeks ago. Yhey are now gone for another year. Luckily I have photos to remind me of their beauty!

    I love oriental poppies. Mine didn't come up this year. I had them for over 10 years and they always came back in the spring but not this year so I'm glad to be able to enjoy your beautiful photograph.

    What a beautiful sight that must have been... and you will be able to look at them now when ever you want... In winter I tend to change my computers desktop to summer views that I've taken...

    So beautiful. Arguably my favourite flower. When I was small, I didn't listen to Mum and picked some. I learned my lesson well. They had wilted within 5 minutes...

    I like poppies - used to make little dolls out of them as a kid - may be the most beautiful red in the world is the hot poppy red!
