The grainy look is appropriate as the photos from days past are a bit grainy. In your picture, I feel that I am living in a house with a big fireplace in the middle as the only source of heat (that and no insulation...). Nice old feeling view!
Thanks for visiting my little corner of the world. I hope you enjoyed your stay here. Please leave a comment before you leave so I can visit your blog.
Super shot. Looks like a real old timey photo. Where do you find these places? MB
ReplyDeleteYes, I like it too. The graininess adds to the feeling of authenticity.
ReplyDeleteI like the arrangement. It looks like something one would find in our museum, the Spitler house.

Sepia works well with this old-fashioned scene. I agree with the others about the grainy look adding something here.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Thanks for the comment on my car reflection photo. I take that as a high compliment from such a great photographer. ;-)
Grain is sometimes desired...in fact I have Photoshop programs with which you can add grain to your photos...have never seen a need to do that, but...
ReplyDeleteExcellent photo!
