Harbour at Jackson's Point, Ontario, on Lake Simcoe
Although the Canadian province of Ontario is not situated on the Atlantic or Pacific oceans, it is still a watery place. It has many lakes, rives, ponds, creeks, marshes.... In fact I live within easy drive of three of the Great Lakes (Ontario, Huron and Erie), each of which looks from the shore to be a fresh water sea.
Lake Simcoe, the lake I frequent most often, is a big lake - although it's not large enough to be one of the five Great Lakes. My camera finds it very photogenic so begs me often to go there.

I've spent quite a few sunny days on the shores of Lake Simcoe when I lived further north than where I live now. And Lake Simcoe is the first place I went out on the ice to look at ice fishing, I was terrified.
ReplyDeleteYou guys have big water up there, though. More like seas! Beautiful shot.
ReplyDeleteI can see why it is a favorite spot to visit.

ReplyDeleteLooking at the sky, at first I thought those were mountains in the background, but now think they're simply clouds...right?
Hope you have a great day!

Lake Simcoe is a beautiful spot for waterside photos. My uncle had a cottage there that we enjoyed many sunny summer afternoons.

I'll try to do a postcard exchange again, EG! It took some time and school starts in a few weeks... :)
