Ready For Snow/ Ruby Tuesday



Seen outside an antiques and collectibles store, this sled is ready for snow, but I'm not...not quite yet. The Greater Toronto Area is breaking a record held since the 1930s 1847 for no snow in November. Whoohoo!

    Wow my first time to see that kind of sled. Same here in MI I guess we are neighbors we don't have snow this November too I am not ready for snow yet do you? Great pic it is for sure an antique.

    That's an oldie, but goodie! I like the fact it's got a place to put your arms when you're careening down a hill!

    I love it. Keep breaking those records I say. I am not ready for snow but then again all we have gotten here since October is RAIN and more rain. It can get very depressing--so gray all the time. Not to mention cold and wet. I sound like I am whining--oops I am. But I am smiling---through my tears. Hahaha!!

    Looks like some one's dad had put on a new coat of paint.

    Has it snow yet?

    May I tell you my first snow experience? I thought some one had put white little pellets of fertiliser on the base of the trees.

    This sled is nice! Instead of the aerodynamic lie-down pose, the rider can look and feel a bit more dignified sitting up, arms resting quite nicely. The kids would not like this sled though...

    Oh, I have a sled like that in my garage! We tried it once in one of our mild NJ snows. The plastic new-fangled thingies worked better. Sigh.

    I love old antique sleds, and I can just imagine how much fun the kids used to have on this one.
    It's snowing here, but only lightly covering the ground. Last year at this time we had 54" already.

    So beautiful old thing !! And was so useful in old days. The climate has changed so. We have so little snow here in Finland, onlu raining all the time :(

    Great find! My old sled had a wooden steering bar but I still had to lie down. This would have been very ladylike.
