  15. Thought I'd seen some racing horses in my time. Never one with red socks though.
A perfect rural autumn scenery, the equipage running through the stubble fields.

  16. Those socks are great, EG! Are they for warmth for the horse or just for color? Good luck in the RT giveaway! :)

  17. Beautiful. Not only the outstanding red socks, but also the subtle red noseband for accent.

  18. That's a great shot, crisp, colorful, well composed, and with so much implied motion... I aspire to that level of photography, with only occasional success!

  19. Terrific - you caught the horse's motion perfectly - nares flared, mane flying...just wonderful.

    Why the red socks?

And is the "farmer" training the horse for racing or just having fun?

You don't have to answer - those are just rhetorical musing rumbling through my head!

  21. This is a beautiful horse, and not just the socks, but his coat seems to have a bit of red in it as the sun shines on this equine racer. I have never seen harness racing, but I'd spend as much time admiring the horse competitors ad figuring which one of thew to place money on...

  33. My father was a great fan of sulky racing. It's called harness racing here on the West Coast and it took me (a child) a long time to realize they were the same.
That's a lovely set of red socks.

  34. I wonder what it's like to ride one of those sulkys. It looks like it would be smooth and fast... effortless for the horse.
