Blossoms on potato plant (Solanum tuberosum)
Did you know there are more than 5,000 varieties of potatoes? (Neither did I till I looked it up.) The blossoms can be white, pink or purplish but I see mostly white around here.

Sometimes I "grow" potatoes in my garden by mistake (i.e., by compost). I've never let them go to flower - I guess I might be rewarded with these pretty white flowers? Love the view of the field.

ReplyDeleteI always say I am going to plant potatoes all around the house because they get such pretty flowers and they stay the same height and then I would have a harvest too. Never did it though. LOL
