Gamebridge Lock on the Trent-Severn Waterway
These two cruisers are slowly entering the lock before the gate closes and the lock fills with water to take them up to the higher level of water on the other side of the lock.
I liked that both of these boats had red roofs.

Not quite identical twins! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI like the shots you take of life on the canals. They show me something I'm not familiar with: i grew up in central California where there are many irrigation canals, and many people here where I live have boats for water skiing or fishing, but using a canal to get from one place to another by water is out of my experience.
ReplyDeleteThose boats just look so perfect to me.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photo. I've never gone thru a lock; must put that on my list of things to do.
ReplyDeleteCruising the locks would be a fun experience.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting shot and capture. It looks like a wonderful way to spend the day.
ReplyDeleteNice photo. Must be fun to walk around the locks.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the others who say this is a lovely place to walk around... And nice red roofs on those boats... :-)
ReplyDeleteLocks are such interesting places.
ReplyDeleteHey, I want a ride. We don't have many, if any, canals in Texas but I'm fascinated with the look of them.
ReplyDeleteLovely place for walk, I agree. Great shot.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful picture. I wouldn't mind taking a cruise on either of those boats.
ReplyDeleteHow interesting! I don't believe I've ever seen a lock. It would be cool to see what that's like.
ReplyDeleteLocks are interesting. At first I couldn't understand how it works but hubby patiently explained it to me and I get it eventually hehe! Happy Sunday!
