A beautiful Friday morning
It seemed lonely for this sailboat but in a few more hours, weekend would arrive. Activity! Motor boats and other water craft, swimmers. picnickers...

Somehow this reminds me that summer is coming to an end. Hope the owners good another good weekend out of it.

ReplyDeleteGreat shot!

Beautiful, serene, I wish I were climbing in for a sail, instead of leaving for work. ;(
ReplyDeleteMeet you at the end of the dock, we'll sail over to the far shore.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like what happens here when the tide goes out. Everything is left high and dry for a few hours. LOL MB
ReplyDeletenice view! I can stay there the whole day just watching the fishes at the sea..
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot and little bit sad mood.
ReplyDeletea perfect summer photo . . .
ReplyDeleteI would much prefer to have this beauty than any motorboat. This is a wonderful picture for Watery Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteHope the lonely boat found some company. So many sit unused, years even at a time. Brings to mind the two happiest moments of a man's life: the day he buys his boat, and the day he sells it. Not necessarily in that order.
ReplyDeletehahaha ! C'est un bateau qui ne veut pas se mouiller, celui-là...
ReplyDeletethe calm before the storm (of activities). love the capture.
ReplyDeleteIt almost looks odd sitting up out of the water like that. Nice shot.
ReplyDelete:-)
Everyone is still preparing for the weekend getaway...I'm sure it will be all busy. Beautiful shot of the sailboat.
ReplyDeleteLike that shot very cool!

ReplyDeleteA serene, beautiful photo! Love the view!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blue in this photo.
ReplyDeleteFantastic! I'd love to be on that water. I used to love boats but now I live in the middle of a very dry area.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the weekend to come and enjoy the beach to cool off!
ReplyDeleteThe clouds and skies and telling me it was a beautiful day!
Looks like James Bon sailed in it and landed high and dry.
ReplyDeleteIt does look lonely out of the water like that. Glad to know it'll be having lots of fun soon. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is an interesting shot. :-) First thing I thought was if it were waiting for high tide to float again. Here is my entry.
ReplyDeletethis boat is resting up for the activity of the weekend! I'd love to be there myself!
ReplyDeleteNice shot ! love the way the boat has been lifted up
ReplyDeleteFunny what 'Tsuki said, a boat that doesn't want to get wet... :-D This is a serene spot that will soon come alive for end-summer fun...
ReplyDeleteeven the boat needs a break every now and then.:p lovely place.
ReplyDeleteAuckland has more boats per head than any where else.
ReplyDeleteMy non boat owner told me, " Look at all those boats in the marina. people spent all their money on buying their boats, then they have no money to sail the boats because they have to work many jobs to pay the bank. or to pay for the gas."
Your photo makes me think of that.
Even sailboats need a rest. And a bit of drying off!
ReplyDeleteAnd all to soon there will be ice
ReplyDeleteWhat a serene and lovely scene, with wonderful blends of nature.
ReplyDeleteSomeone left it there? Wouldn't they be afraid someone would steal it?
ReplyDeleteInteresting sky I noticed, it seems to be of different colours isn't it?
ReplyDeleteGood day!
Beautiful shot!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot, but it does seem like the boat should be in the water.
ReplyDeleteI like that. Looks so restful. And warm.
