Red Dragonfly/ Macro Monday

Acrobat or ballerina?

Neither, actually. It's a male white-faced meadowhawk.

    That pillarbox red is striking. Never seen one. Patience required for a live shot like that. Thanks for visiting the grouch page.

  14. Great macro of the dragonfly, he is a very handsome fellow. Knowing how difficult it I be to catch them in a pose makes me appreciate it that much more.
