The Talbot Lock (Trent-Severn Waterway) on the last day of September at sunset
All is quiet on weekdays, although the locks do operate on weekends through the middle of October. The sun is low in the sky, in fact the bright light on the water at the left of the photo is a reflection of the setting sun. The locks are to the left, the dam and overflow to the right.
Sun's reflection
This is what the reflection looked like when I zoomed in on it. I was standing on a bridge when I took these shots.

EG...Your blog continues to challenge me not to get discouraged and just keep on shooting. Your photography is such a treat to follow. I love the 3 rays of light in the first shot, and the reflection in the second it lovely. Locks are so much fun to watch. On all of my trips to England taking the students in summer, the locks were their favorite things - and mine - to go to visit.
ReplyDeleteA perfect post for me.
