Last Sunday near Huntsville, Ontario
Berries and a few blossoms still decorate the wilds of central Ontario. Seen here in the largest square: the red berries of common winterberry (Ilex verticillata). Working clockwise: common tansy (Tanacetum vulgare), red clover (Trifolium pratense), common milkweed (Asclepias syriaca), toadflax or butter-and-eggs (Linaria vulgaris), and wintergreen (Gaultheria procumens).

Although the entire collage is wonderful, I really like the picture of the winterberry berries.
