D/ Alphabe-Thursday

Dee River, Windemere, Ontario

In October, the Dee River quietly wends its way  through  rocks and banks clothed in evergreens and deciduous trees until...

Dee Fall, Windemere, Ontario

it tumbles over the Dee Bank Falls on its way to Lake Rosseau.

I am linking to Jenny Matlock at Alphabe-Thursday HERE

  1. How beautiful! I always say I love going to the beach, but I think inland water might be my favorite place to spend time.

  7. 'Tis very chilly here. I would love to go for a walk along what looks like a slight meander and listen to the trickle.

  22. What a lovely D post... looks like the Dee River is a peaceful river to canoe... until you get to the falls.

[You may be right that the "temple" drum is a translation issue, yet still curious for a country with a high number of English speakers that it would stick.]

  27. What an absolutely breath-taking stop on our little journey through Alphabe-Thursday's letter D.

These pictures make me long for cooler climes where water confettied with autumn leaves dances in the sunlight.

Thank you for linking these lovely pictures of a place I've never been.

    A+

  29. Beautiful fall colours around this lovely river. Good choice for D.
Thank you for visiting my D-post and leaving your thoughts about how the dogs felt about being photographed. Actually pictures do not always tell the whole story. The first pictures of the young man with the two bull terrier does not reveal how friendly these dogs were to me. I put down my camera and gave the girl-dog with the black spot on her eye or ear a really good cuddle and she returned by giving me a very sweet doggie-kiss. This man was very nice to us and asked if we were thinking about getting a dog for the children.

The older man with the Dachshund-girl dog was sort of shy. We did not talk that much with him or stay very long time with him. His little dog was also very shy, even if you would not think so looking at the photo.

Now I would like invite you to return to my D-post and take another look as I have added another dog.

My cat Sara would also like to invite you to visit her blog-post for ABC-Wednesday, if you have the time.
    Best wishes,
    Anna

  30. Wow...what a beautiful fall day in Ontario. We, in BC, haven't reached that "crispy cold" yet. Hope we can get our crops in before it does...:)
