this is wonderful. even without the reflection, this image is perfect. but of course you can't use this image for this meme without the reflection, duh! sowee, must be friday and must be drowsy from medication.
Hi EG. We usually don't smell much (at least in our little villa) but once in a while we can hear the cows mooing at night. That's nice.
This whole area - I'd guess thousands of acres - was owned by Sidney Colen, a developer of some note around Florida. He bought the Circle Square Ranch, a very large cattle ranch years ago. On part of the land he developed what is now known as On Top of the World, a residential community for seniors (people over 55). OTOW is just a couple of miles south of us.
Mr. Colen also built Sholom Park, a meditational area north of OTOW. I've posted a number of photos of Sholom Park. Non-Jewish folks wonder about the word, Sholom...it's just another variant for Shalom, meaning "peace," or better yet, "wholeness."
A few years ago, Del Webb/Pulte bought land north of OTOW and began to develop Stone Creek. Stone Creek is to max out at 4,000 homes, 800 of which have been built.
Circle Square Ranch, in a reduced size, still exists on land north of OTOW and adjacent to Stone Creek. It's still a good-sized cattle operation. So we see lots of cows most days.
Thanks for visiting my little corner of the world. I hope you enjoyed your stay here. Please leave a comment before you leave so I can visit your blog.
