Santa being protected by two soldiers
Santa can never be too careful it appears. Here he is flanked by two well-dressed soldiers last Thursday on the southern shore of Lake Ontario in New York State. (My husband and I were visiting with U.S. family for a few days.) I think Santa was there for turkey as it was U.S. Thanksgiving. He does look a tad slim there so I imagine he also was hungry for all the fixings as well!

This is quie amusing!
ReplyDeleteThis is a sweet photo, but funny with the "Do not touch" sign. He is looking a little on the skinny side.
ReplyDeleteThe "soldiers" looks like they have just arrived from Tivoli in Copenhagen, and are two guys from the Tivoli band....
ReplyDeleteLooks nice!:)
You're right, this Santa is unusually skinny.
ReplyDeleteThey need to fatten that Santa up don't they?
ReplyDeleteGreat photo of skinny Santa and his guards!
ReplyDeleteA most unusual presentation of Santa! Instantly I thought of Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker Suite" with Dance of the Toy Soldiers! Great photo!
ReplyDeleteAfter the Turkeys... it's Santa's time to take the center stage.
ReplyDeleteLove the "do not touch Santa" sign with the soldiers standing guard. Great pic!
ReplyDeleteNever seen Santa under guard before. Nice pic.

ReplyDeleteThat do not touch sign just makes me want to touch a finger to them...
ReplyDeleteThat is cute hehhe...
ReplyDeleteMy SOOC is here
The first thing I noticed too was the "Do Not Touch" sign. I agree he is looking a little slim!!
ReplyDeleteGill
He must be an antique Santa or something...he is the skinnest Santa I have ever seen. Very interesting with the soldiers guarding him. Great shot!
ReplyDeleteThat's a little surreal, these nutcracker soldiers guarding Santa... sign of the fearful times?
ReplyDeleteYou see, the world is becoming a more dangerous place...
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!

HO HO HO!!!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great time with friends in US. I think that was one of Santa's helpers as HE is much too busy for traveling this time of year. . . Ü
ReplyDeletePerhaps the soldiers need to protect Santa from the touchers referred to in the sign.
ReplyDeleteThat poor Santa...he's missed too many Thanksgivings...absolutely scrawny. But what is he doing in that gazebo on the lakeshore? And why does he need to be guarded?
ReplyDeleteSo many questions, so little time. Soon it will be Christmas and too late!
