Contrail Over Davis/ Scenic Sunday

A contrail coloured by the setting sun

As we drove into Newmarket at sunset, a jet climbed high above Earth leaving a colourful contrail behind it.

  1. What a great picture at dusk, the con trail like a swan flying to heaven and I love all the car headlights meandering off into the far distance.

PS All Eucalypts flower, some quite spectacularly, and are a great source of a large variety of honeys as well as being great dye sources.

  8. Well, you taught me a new word...”contrail.” Looked it up and learned it is the condensation trail the jet leaves behind. Your shot of it is out of this world. The colors are gorgeous and the formation is one-of-a-kind wonderful. All of your shots are WOW photographs!

  20. Super shot, EG. And I'm glad you pulled off the road to get it! You did pull off the road, right?

I like the sunset and the contrails but I also like the geometry of the road...
