Weeds at Sunset/ Sky Watch

Last Sunday evening over an East Gwillimbury field

Yes, the white you see here is new-fallen snow. March here in Ontario means sometimes it snows, sometimes it rains...and YAY! Sometimes we get some sun.

  1. Wow, what a contrast: the heat in the colors of the sky and the cold in the colors of the snow on the plants. Very interesting image. :)

  3. Hi! The colors in this are beautiful, and here in northern Idaho, March means the same as it does where you are.

Thanks for your comment on "Leaf." I am pleased to know I have shown the interest in mundane objects, it is part of what I enjoy about photography!

  4. One of your best sunsets, EG! The snow-dappled weeds up against that red-warm sky...superb!

Re you comment about the camera at HITS...there were two female photogs there with essentially the same gear...it appeared they were shooting Canons...I'd guess the cost of the camera and that lens to be somewhere around $8,000.

  21. At first glimpse it looked like sunset over a cotton field. Then I recognized the snow - same stuff we have melting out here right now, but another cold snap tomorrow, so we'll have ice where we now have puddles.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful sky!

  24. It is almost like you have two shots in one here: one the warmth of the sun, and the frigidness of the snow. The way the snow is sitting atop the weeds makes me think they are wearing little white caps. the contrast is absolutely beautiful. This is one special photo. Have a nice weekend. .
