Canada geese enjoying a swim on the river
Here the geese look serene and relaxed but actually they were resting after many sessions of honking and welcoming other geese as they flew in to join them. It was a joyous honking. Geese are very sociable creatures!
Love the ducks and the reflections and the gentle colours. Charmaine
ReplyDeletepeaceful and beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteI love this photo... the colour is magical... the geese serene...
ReplyDeletethey must be just like black-bellied whistling ducks in that way - lots of whistling, chiding, welcoming when new ones show up!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pleasant gaggle in a peaceful scene. I like the hits of red bushes in the back.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great picture! I love the red in the background and reflection.

Beautiful Spring geese. I love that river too! It looks like a wonderful spot to spend the afternoon.
ReplyDeleteAre you near to Kingsville.
ReplyDeleteIt was Christmas 1975, my room mate's dad took me to a lake and see a zillion geese. I never forget this.
I love the strip of red in the background, on the shore. The geese seem oblivious to any scenery; they are just enjoying the swim and each other's company.
ReplyDeleteSo very idyllic!
ReplyDeleteSwimming with friends. Wonderful photo.
ReplyDeleteA very pleasant scene, even though geese make my blood boil . . .
ReplyDeleteLooks so pretty. Happy SOOC Sunday.
ReplyDeleteMine is here
they sure can be noisy. the pair at the pond get very upset if another pair try to horn in on their privacy. No babies this year for some reason. MB
ReplyDeleteRelaxing after a big party, eh? Love the touch of red in the background.
ReplyDeleteThe year wouldn't be the same without the Canada Geese dropping in for a honk. Nice pic.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture! Have a nice day :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with Lois on this...Peaceful and beautiful!
