Nonquon Provincial Wildlife Area, Port Perry, Ontario
This wildlife area is a thousand hectares of wetland with 100 acres set aside for educational purposes, the rest for camping, birdwatching, fishing, hiking and other outdoor activities.
I am linking to Watery Wednesday where you can find many more watery photos.
That looks like it might be a good fishing spot.
ReplyDeleteCool spot. Interesting little old shen hunkered down in the wetland.
ReplyDeleteRegarding Kylee's ride. I believe her time was 22.624---so she didn't win but she had a clean ride. That wide first turn took her out of the money. She was happy with her run otherwise. MB
Not too unlike our Florida wetlands...glad some of it is being used for human fun.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great picture of the wetlands. This wildlife area sounds like a great place to visit.

ReplyDeleteGreat shot - nice to see what this area looks like. This is the spot where they are having the trouble with people doing target practice and peppering the neighbouring homes with bullets. Don't think that I would venture near it.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a magnet for water and shore birds.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! It looks a bit like a part of my country!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment! Batavia is also the name of the capital of Java when it was still a colony of the Netherlands. Indonesia was then called Dutch East Indies. Batavia is now Jakarta .
