Last Sunday evening, the harbour at Beaverton, Ontario
My husband and I were on our way home from Muskoka, taking the route on the east side of Lake Simcoe, which passes by Beaverton with its beaches, harbour, pier and view of the lake.
I was standing on the beach when I clicked the shutter.
A couple of minutes later
Wasn't the sunset magnificent?

ReplyDeleteWow, these are stunning. We sure haven't have any beautiful sunsets or sunrises lately.
ReplyDeleteYes, they are stunning photos!
ReplyDeleteSimply wonderful!

Oh yeah that is a great shot. Not just the color of the skies but the whole water, land, water sky composition. Perfect.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely magical! But looks like the sky was on fire!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful with the water and the couple and....
This is spectacular.I love those rich colors.
ReplyDeleteIve never seen such a stunning sky! Incredible!
ReplyDeleteVery dramatic and beautiful ... looks like a ball of fire. I’ve been hearing on the news that the sun erupted with an explosion on the 7th of June. Apparently it is not dangerous to earth but perhaps caused brighter sunsets in some places of the globe?
ReplyDeleteFire in the sky, stunning!
ReplyDeletejust fabulous!
ReplyDeleteit´s pure passion...MARVELOUS

Magnificent is definitely the word! Wow!
ReplyDeleteFor a minute i thought I was on the wrong blog, as there is a Beaverton Oregon (in the Portland area, not too far from where we used to live)....I am pretty sure the sunset at yours was better though ;>) Thanks for sharing.
I haven't seen a fiery sky like that for a long time, so I'll content myself with looking at yours!
ReplyDeleteRED SKY IN MORNING
Red sky in morning,
Sailors take warning!
Who knows what might happen out on the sea?
Waves riding high,
Waves to the sky,
Waves crashing and dashing all over me!
Red sky at night,
Sailors delight!
Leeward or windward we sail with no fear;
Water is calm,
Healing like balm—
Ahoy, fellow sailors, landfall is near!

Absolutely stunning sunset!
ReplyDeleteFabulous sunset, EG. What makes these scenes is the inclusion of the couple in each photo. Too many people just shoot the sky and it is blah without people or some other object of interest.
ReplyDeleteYes. Magnificent! The sky almost looks like orange/yellow water...
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing the people on their walk, what a gorgeous sky!
ReplyDeleteThat's a powerful image.
ReplyDeleteHow could it not take your breath away.
ReplyDeleteAfter perusing the photos of all of my friends this week I have discovered one similarity....so many gorgeous orange skies. I think that is unusual. I wonder what was going on in the atmosphere to give us all of these fabulously colored skies. YOur shots are awesome...beautiful photography.
ReplyDeleteMagnificent,indeed!!!!
