Ice Cream?/ Watery Wednesday

Sunday evening at Lake Simcoe

As much as she liked the geese and no matter how much they begged,  she wasn't sharing her ice cream with them. Do you blame her?

Summer begins officially today at 1:16pm EDT.

I am linking to Watery Wednesday where you can find many more watery photos.

  2. Summer is officially here but in your part of the world it seems to have arrived early. The orange sky and silhouettes are lovely. This photograph inspires one to weave a story.

  13. I'm sure the geese were very disappointed!

    IT DOESN’T TAKE AN OCEAN

    It doesn’t take an ocean
    Or a mighty sea,
    A simple little raindrop
    Is enough for me!

    I also like the jewels
    Scattered in the grass
    After summer thunderstorms
    Soak the earth and pass.

    There’s also perspiration
    Clinging to a nose—
    A sign of honest labor,
    Or so I suppose!

    Wonderful, most wonderful,
    Are the seven seas,
    But give me downy snowflakes
    Clinging to the trees!

  15. I love this photo. I'm not sure ice cream is good for geese anyway. We always tell our dog she's better off having plain yogurt.

  24. Nice one, EG. I can rationalize this: "I know these geese want my ice cream, but I think I read something about ice cream being toxic to geese . . . I'll just finish it off and protect these guys."

  25. Came via reader wil's site to add to your interest of the wizard of Christchurch.

    This is my second comment.

Once, we had a party, he came uninvited with a friend who was invited. he didn't dress as the wizard, Just a very smart man in a business suit.

No, I didn't go and talk to him, I didn't want to embarass him. He has a masters in sociology. He was wearing a suit, and his long hair was briushed to the back, so you can't tell that he was the wizard. My daughter listened to him and says he was very clever.

I didn't listen to him because I can't get over him coming to my house unvited, and every time, we have a census, he takes a group of his followers in a boat so they don't have to be counted.
Of course, the police will wait the next morning to get them to be counted.
He lost credibility when he "ran" away after the earth quake.
