Craigleith Heritage Depot, Town of the Blue Mountains, Ontario

This circa 1878 railway depot has been recycled and is now a museum. Inside are a wide range of items relating to the Town of Blue Mountains.

The photo is bit distorted, which (and I don't know why) makes me smile.  I wanted to fit in as much grass in the foreground as possible but also capture some of the clouds.

To see more photos straight out of the camera, visit Jan's  SOOC at Murietta365.

  12. What a quaint little place! There's only one train station here, with trains belonging to our next door neighbour, Malaysia. The old Tanjung Pagar station was reverted back to our government and been declared a national monument ,since it was build too long ago, with rich history. Not sure whether it will be turned into a museum but the facade of the building will be retain with newer building surrounded it.

  21. Distortion is my middle name! You just got a too-wide angle, that's all. No problem.

Love these old rr depots and it is important, I think, to preserve them. I would guess this one, now a museum, has some wonderful artifacts. The Town of Blue Mountains sounds like something you'd find in Tennessee in the Blue Mountains there!
