Craigleith Heritage Depot, Town of the Blue Mountains, Ontario
This circa 1878 railway depot has been recycled and is now a museum. Inside are a wide range of items relating to the Town of Blue Mountains.
The photo is bit distorted, which (and I don't know why) makes me smile. I wanted to fit in as much grass in the foreground as possible but also capture some of the clouds.

ReplyDeleteThis old building is sure rich in character! And I don't see any distortion.
ReplyDeleteLove the angle which you captured this in. It's perfect!
ReplyDeleteThat is really lovely!
ReplyDeleteThat's a neat-looking depot. I'm glad it wasn't torn down.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love when buildings find a second life, and continue to give people such pleasure. What a great building and a great shot.

ReplyDeleteI like everything about this photo! Great shot!
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteYou have an idyllic scene here today, EG. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteWhat a quaint little place! There's only one train station here, with trains belonging to our next door neighbour, Malaysia. The old Tanjung Pagar station was reverted back to our government and been declared a national monument ,since it was build too long ago, with rich history. Not sure whether it will be turned into a museum but the facade of the building will be retain with newer building surrounded it.
ReplyDeleteThis looks delightful!
ReplyDeleteI don't know the distortion you talk about, i just see it's lovely. Happy Sunday.
ReplyDeleteThe photo (or building) doesn't look distorted to me. Wonderful that it is being put to educational use.
ReplyDeletewhat is that rounded building?
ReplyDeleteWe are excited, we could get a dusting of snow in West Auckland.
Such beautiful structure! Lovely capture!
ReplyDeleteIs it worth while visiting, as we will be doing a day trip up there in September as Collingwood is only a 45 minute drive for us.

What a nice shot. Happy SOOC Sunday...
ReplyDeleteMine is here
Distortion is my middle name! You just got a too-wide angle, that's all. No problem.
ReplyDeleteLove these old rr depots and it is important, I think, to preserve them. I would guess this one, now a museum, has some wonderful artifacts. The Town of Blue Mountains sounds like something you'd find in Tennessee in the Blue Mountains there!
i like this a lot, beautiful building
ReplyDeleteCute picture!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend:)
I like the shot as it is. distortedd or not. I could buy that house if it was for sale. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great museum... I like the old style train depots.
ReplyDeleteI looks like you just laid on the ground and looked up. Maybe? MB
I like this photo a lot. I like the foreground and the sky too. I'm enjoying seeing everyone's photos around the world on this SOOC blog. Yeah!
