Beaverton, Ontario on Lake Simcoe
When I was a child I lived on the coast and thought the Atlantic Ocean was the most beautiful body of water ever. NOW I have to say that - although that ocean is certainly lovely - so are the Great Lakes and the "lesser lake" (I made that up) Lake Simcoe, which is especially gorgeous when the sun rises and sets over it.
I am linking to Watery Wednesday where you can find many more watery photos.
It's like a painting, a beautiful painting. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAnd I thank you for sharing that beauty with your blog friends!
ReplyDeleteI was born in a small town on Lake Michigan, and how I love it! Even tho I no longer live there, I appreciate your comment about the Great Lakes. Wonderful bodies of water, and your Lake Simcoe is equally beautiful in your sunlist photo.
ReplyDeleteto me the sun rising or setting or shining on any body of water is spectacular. this is beautiful. every time i see your blog title I think how appropriate your title is because I always find a WOW photo here
ReplyDeleteThis is as beautiful of a scene that I've seen anywhere. I really think your skies are better over there. :)
ReplyDeleteI never get tired of your beautiful sunset/sunrise pics.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't I love to be out there kayaking as the sun goes down! Just beautiful.
ReplyDeletethis is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLake Simcoe is rapidly becoming one of my very favorite lakes.
ReplyDeleteBut you need to explain to this dunderhead why you're posting a "Watery Wednesday" shot on Tuesday?
I'm not complaining; I thought today was Friday for awhile! But I'm old and have an excuse!
truly lovely!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shot.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is a special place. I don't think there is any use in comparisons of beauty. I appreciate the beauty in many different places.
ReplyDeleteSo, while you are flying to NYC, I'll fly to Beaverton! Two beautiful sunsets. But, it is really cheaper just to share our photos!
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteOh my friend! Such a gorgeaous sun light!
ReplyDeleteGreetings

wonderful photo :)
ReplyDeleteLove lake and lovely shot. Any body of water is beautiful to me. Sometimes even a puddle.
ReplyDeleteI did ever answer you question about the edible Thistle AKA a Horse Thistle because horses will eat it. It grows mountain high and is not a pesty invasive type. MB
It is like a painting . . . very pretty
ReplyDeleteI love watching the sunset over the water. Gorgeous photo!
ReplyDeleteThis is indeed a lovely view. I would be eager to see the Great Lakes from other perspectives beyond Chicago, where I am from. I'll bet there are lots of spectacular views up North.
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous photo. Nice colours.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week, Evelyn
Awesome EG! So wonderful colors :)
ReplyDeleteThis kind of scenery relaxes me ^_^
ReplyDeleteWatery Wednesday
I think it would be very hard to find any body of water more beautiful than this 'Lesser Lake'.
ReplyDeleteI love to see water playing with sunlight!
ReplyDeleteWATER
Water in a drop of rain,
Water swirling down the drain;
Water clinging to the trees,
Water filling up the seas;
Water frozen, water free,
Water is the stuff for me!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fortunate, golden time to be out with your camera. Magic time in nature. So, you're doing a photo every day of the year? That sounds like a great challenge, but one that would help you grow as a photographer? I might try a "baby steps" copy of this.
