Smarty Pants/ Camera Critters

Peanuts! Did somebody say peanuts?

This smarty pants chipmunk has figured out how to shimmy up a nearby pole and then jump onto this bird feeder.

OOPS! He/she dropped a piece!

I guess it's worth the effort because I got pretty close before the chipmunk looked even remotely worried. Smarty Pants jumped four feet to the ground, scampered off, and waited for me to go away.

    Cute! A friend of mine has chipmunks around her house. She doesn't feed them. Perhaps she should. They ate through the wiring in her car. Bad chipmunks!

    Very cute, love the little chippers. I would rather see them on my feeders than the piggy squirrels.

    Resourceful and clever little critters. We have them around our house but the dogs keep them away for the feeders.

    Great pictures of the little acrobat. I just have large, cheeky squirrels on my feeder, haven't seen a chipmunk in years.

    i am sitting here with a big grin on my face, he is sooooo cute. i have never seen a chipmunk, except of course the singing ones. LOL. adorable little pest.

    For such a little guy he sure can jump and climb! I've only seen them on the ground or on railings.
