VINTAGE hay rake
Here you see part of a small collection of VINTAGE Dinky Toys. These Dinky Toys date back to the late 1940s and early 1950s, die-cast miniature farm machinery kids used to play with and today adults collect.
Above you see a miniature tractor pulling a hay rake, a machine that collected hay or straw into windrows to later be picked up another machine that made bales.
VINTAGE disc harrow
A disc harrow cultivated the soil before seeds were planted.
VINTAGE manure spreader
A maure spreader - you guessed it - spread manure.

OMG this is so cute! I was cleaning the kitchen yesterday and found tiny kitchen appliances it made me smile and here's another one a tiny vintage hay rake and manure spreader hehe. This is way too cool!! Love it!
ReplyDeletethey look so REAL, when i saw the thumbnail, i was expecting a big tractor. the detail is amazing
ReplyDeletethat is a great reproduction, nice shot.
ReplyDeleteAt first sight, I wondered where you would find such unusual machines. . . it helps to read! Neat!
ReplyDeleteI like old toys, I have a few too. Those ones are really beautyful!
ReplyDeletethese are precious!!!
ReplyDeleteI bet they cost a small fortune to buy now...
ReplyDeletewe had a disc like that one...we had a hay rake similar to that one only ours was for a horse. My mom and dad gave it to someone when we no longer used it but I have no idea who.
I still see these things (not the toy variety) sitting on the edge of farms. I'm not sure if they are still put to use, though.
ReplyDeleteThose are in such wonderful condition~ love the second photo with the disc harrow :-)
ReplyDeleteOh I love those vintage dinkies. These are beautiful and still in such a good condition. Great V word
ReplyDeleteI used to have some of those - gave them all away when I was "too big" for them - wish I still had them!
ReplyDeleteI love those! I have a few less vintage tractors and equipment in my toy box for the grandkids when they are here...
ReplyDeleteMy son would love this and my husband too.
ReplyDeleteThat is just beautiful subjects to photograph, and I love the colors!
ReplyDeleteOh I love your metal, vintage farm toys. I love antiques and vintage items, especially toys.
ReplyDeleteBlessings & Aloha!
So interesting! Good fun to see! My boyfriend should have seen this :)) Even I start to wish I had some of this collecting toys.. =)
ReplyDeletePicture no 2 is fabulous, I like it a lot!! =)
These are fabulous and a great choice for the letter V!
ReplyDeleteI love the vintage farm equipment. My son and nephews spent hours and hours playing "small farm". I guess the large farm would have been out helping on the real farm. :-)

Long long ago, I helped my dad use one of these on our farm! We didn't have enough hay to bale, and my dad loved to keep vintage equipment around...
ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful!
ReplyDeletea useful tool,
ReplyDeletelovely shots.
Very clever.
ReplyDeleteCool. I still have some Dinkies. Bring back great memories of when they built toys that didn't break by the week's end.
ReplyDeleteI really like these, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThose toys are real keepsakes! And they are probably valuable, too.
ReplyDeleteThis miniature is adorable and your pictures are wonderful, congratulations for this great post!
ReplyDeleteLéia
Love these! Wouldn't want to be near that manure spreader (miniature or otherwise) after it had worked a hard day in the field though. =>
ReplyDeleteQuite often our sidewalks look like a manure spreader has jus passed...
ReplyDeleteYou captured these miniatures so well, the detail is great.
ReplyDeleteDarla
Oh I love these shots. B
ReplyDeleteThey just don't make 'em like they used to. These are cool!
ReplyDelete=)
Awesome pictures of such COOL toys!
ReplyDeleteThese old toys are wonderful, they must cost a fortune now !!
ReplyDeleteOkay, Ms EG, who is the collector in the family? :-) Cute V post with these vintage toys.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! It's a mini-farm. :)
ReplyDeleteHow coll. Brings back fond memories of our tractor rides to the back fields.
ReplyDeleteThese are cool! Very realistic.
ReplyDeleteWhat treasures these are. I wonder if the adult collectors are people who enjoyed these as children?
ReplyDeleteSo cool - you have some real treasures there...wondering if they are similar to the ones made in England - Lesney? Matchbox...our son inherited a whole little suitcase of those in 1977 I think...The Matchbox toys came after the mid '50's??
ReplyDeleteI think today's young children miss out on a lot of fun - too many issues about safety, etc.
A delightful posting!
Love your vintage toys, you have some real treasures!
ReplyDeleteWow. I love these. I'm going to have to go see if they have any on e-bay. This was such a neat post...your photography was superb!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the smile and for sharing such a neat collectible with us today.
