WEIRD WARTS on this carved pumpkin
Yes, it IS a bit early for jack-o'-lantern photos but I hope you will humour me as these pumpkins have WARTS - a W-word!
These warts are not a wicked pumpkin disease but instead merely a build up of sugars under the skin.
And more WONDERFUL WARTS on this pumpkin
Earlier in their lives, these pumpkins looked normal - smooth and green. But when they started to turn orange, sugars inside the pumpkins extruded the skins, cracking them to form warts.

They are great and you are full of information! I did not know what caused the bumps before this explanation. . . They are perfect thing to have for these evil looking creatures! AND they didn't cost more because of the bonus! lol
