Ontario's Cottage County
Largest square taken through my peephole lens: asters blooming everywhere!
Through my regular lens and working clockwise: pokeweed (Phytolacca americana), which I haven't seen for years!; water lily pads (not sure which variety); staghorn sumac (Rhus typhana), waterlily (Nympaea odorata)) and a grass.
Please visit Michelle at Rambling Woods for more NATURE NOTES.
What a great image you posted using the peephole lens. I can see that as a painting.

ReplyDeleteAren't the asters lovely? We have a frost warning tonight.
ReplyDeleteCheers from Cottage Country!
Pokeweed is such a cool plant, it's a shame the berries are not edible.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw your post yesterday, I started looking up pokeweed... invasive or not? Sounds like it depends whom you ask.
ReplyDeleteI love the lily pads with fall color.
this collage should be the welcome banner for Cottage County :)
