Central Ontario last Sunday
Our family celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving on Saturday, then three of us piled into the car for a roadtrip north to see colourful leaves. Temperature-wise, it was a summer-like day. (But we had had a frost a couple of days before, although not a killing one.) Along the way we spotted: (in the largest square) a frog sitting on the edge of a bog enjoying the warm air.
Moving clockwise: rose hips, some of which were dried and shriveled up; a rose that was a bit ragged looking but still blossoming; a black-eyed Susad that had likely been hit by a light frost; colourful oak leaves; and a green, course-to-the-touch moss.

Great collage, love the frog and the rose hips. I think Thanksgiving in October is a wonderful idea. Maybe I'll start celebrating the Canadian Thanksgiving also. That'd be ok right?
