December 14/ Nature Notes

Mid December - East Gwillimbury

This week East Gwillimbury experienced a mix of rain and snow and even a few hours of sun.

Largest square: Canadian National passing through the outskirts of town under blue skies, which are usually very rare this time of year.

Moving clockwise: grass and cattails on the edge of a local creek, not yet frozen; snow on dried beech leaves; snow on young white pine tree; melted snow on back of fallen leaf; and black alder on edge of creek.

  1. The leaf with raindrops looks like it could have been in our yard. Are you having a milder winter than usual? I seem to remember more snow at your place but maybe that was later in the year.

  8. Neat collage. I admire those who know how to do this, I don't. Its probably an easy thing to do with the right program but I have a hard enough time just doing what I do now. Maybe I should say, I waste enough time already on the blogging procedure. Very nice.
