Last Saturday - Is it really January?
No ice so of course the swans were swimming. Wouldn't you? No? Me neither.
Largest square: two trumpeter swans who were very funny because one was a copy-cat swan that turned it's head every time the other one did.
Moving clockwise: a gull's feather resting on a a dried weed, fungi on a log, dried dog-strangling vine (nasty invasive stuff...but pretty), a still-green fern, and ice atop an upright cedar log.

ReplyDeleteYou would laugh...I am tired...but did not see that was a feather till I read...not sure what I thought it was but sure not a feather...first quick glance thought a fat bug of some kind...but looked again and no...so just went on down and read.

I love the fern. Such a graceful plant. And yes, even invasives can be pretty, sigh.
