Queen Beans, Port Perry
I have a feeling the Queen of Canada (Elizabeth II) knows nothing about this coffee shop. I know very little myself as I took this photo because I liked the shadow cast by the logo.
Official emblem of the Queen of Canada's Diamond Jubilee
This year is a BIG one for Queen Elizabeth II, her Diamond Jubilee - 60 years on the throne of England.
Hotel Queens, Barrie
I doubt any queen has ever stayed here.
Queen of spades & queen of diamonds
I wonder if Elizabeth II plays cards and if when she does the queen trumps all. Hmmm.
I am linking to Jenny Matlock at Alphabe-Thursday HERE
A queen's post! =)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, and I adore the first one here! beautiful shadow cast! And so many details in this pictures, colors also :)
I miss that blogger's comment form should have an *edit* button..
ReplyDeleteWhat I meant was.. so many details in this picture (ie the first one).
Awesome find and photos!
ReplyDeletebeautiful first photo, i had to laugh at myself, i glanced at the pic and thought Green Beans coffee? great capture
ReplyDeleteI been reading about the queen's anniversary! That's a long time.
ReplyDeleteThe coffee shop, though, may simply be referring to a queen bee. Or a bee queen. Or a prom queen. You think?
A very good, special post today. I like the shadow cast too. Interesting series.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if Her Majesty plays cards, but I know that she likes horses races! Long life to the Queen(s) of all kinds!:o)
ReplyDeleteNice post EG!
ReplyDeleteGreat queen captures! I had to LOL about the queen not knowing about her coffee shop ;-)
ReplyDeleteI don't think the old girl trumps much these days. Royalty is an anachronism.
ReplyDeleteSå fint du har uppmärksammat de fina skyltarna. Gillar också dina skrakar.Ha de gott. Anita

ReplyDeletelove that hotel sign :)
ReplyDeleteYes you're right, the shadow is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI remember the Queen's Silver Jubilee, it was fun!
Great finds!
ReplyDeleteFunny images to salute a strong lady, this is a very long time on the throne.
ReplyDeleteHey there EG girl !
ReplyDeleteI wonder if there is a Queen of Beans as in can beans you eat? LOL
These are great pictures .. but I am not a monarchist .. Canada has to put on her BIG girl panties and get rid of the waste and cost associated with ridiculous royalty! LOL

Really cute post! I especially love that first photo because of the shadow too. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteLove the new design (and all the cool Queen images)...
ReplyDeleteGreat theme for your post today. I believe that the Queen trumps all and Elizabeth certainly knows it! :)
ReplyDeleteShe's a tough old girl, isn't she? Ever wonder what she carries in that little purse? A dollar perhaps? Just in case of an emergency?
ReplyDeleteQuickly! A great Qpost.
ReplyDeleteWhat a grat Q post. I am not participating this week as `i m a bit under the weather.
ReplyDeleteWe have ERII as "Queen of Australia" also, but she is so far removed from our everyday affairs that it difficult to think of her as our notional "head of state"...
ReplyDeleteThe republica movement here in Australia is gaining strength.
I really like both the signs...like the name of the coffee house and love the style/shape of the hotel one.
ReplyDeleteMy mom has a cookie tin from The Queen's coronation in 1952. :)
ReplyDeleteGood for you for finding all of the Q's. That's dedication!
I think she'd say it's Quite Qute:)
ReplyDeleteQuite a fun post Tina! I haven't been to Port Perry for a couple of years, that looks like a new shop.
ReplyDeleteI doubt a queen has ever stayed at the Queen's in Barrie either. :-)

Can you imagine being queen for 60 years? I'm sure it was fun at first, but to never have a private life would be difficult. Wonderful photos.
ReplyDeletebeautifully composed images!!
ReplyDeleteI am betting you have an alphabet pic file where you have been storing away Queen photos. No one could gather up all these Q pictures on the spur of the moment.
ReplyDeleteGet to work on R!
The that shadow!
ReplyDeleteI met the Queen once. She came to dig the first hole for our QE11 hospital. That was a long time ago. Construction on a new hospital has begun. I wonder what it will be called?
ReplyDeleteDana
They are all adorable signs!I like a lot your first shot with the light and beautiful shadows, very well done!
ReplyDeleteLéia
A Queenly post! Love the shadows in the first photo.
ReplyDeleteDarla
Love this post- hmmm... wonder if they serve tea and crumpets at that coffee house... *giggles*
ReplyDeleteYou did a royal job on this one!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful word for Q! I love the picture of the coffee shop. The shadow really is interesting.
ReplyDeleteI would say the queen definitely does trump all!
ReplyDelete;)
If Elizabeth II plays cards, I'm sure the Queen would trump all!
ReplyDeletegreat post!
I find it quite easy to imagine the Queen playing a cosy game of bridge with corgis underfoot!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post for the letter Q! I agree with Pondsides comment above.
ReplyDeleteQueen Beans! I love it! What a fun name for a coffee shop.
ReplyDeleteYour other pictures were quaintly charming as well!
